In this way, the Schüco AWS 90 SI+ window does not only meet the demand for maximum thermal insulation, but also fulfils the highest architectural requirements for design and freedom of design options, with a basic depth of just 90 mm. Combined with the concealed Schüco AvanTec SimplySmart fitting, transparent formats up to 160 kg can be implemented; combined with Schüco TipTronic, additional energy-saving potential in buildings can be exploited.

The new block window system to passive house standard.

The Schüco AWS 90 BS.SI+ window block series completes the Schüco portfolio with thermal insulation to passive house standard. Perfectly coordinated glazing sight lines without visible window vents can be created with a Uf value of 1.2W/(m²K) and narrow face widths. This is how the new Schüco AWS 90 BS.SI+ impressively proves that thermal insulation and design are not mutually exclusive requirements.

The standard series with more flexibility in the level of thermal insulation and SimplySmart technology which optimises fabrication

Since its introduction in 2005 as part of the Schüco AWS modular system, the Schüco AWS 75.SI+ window has become a standard series in many European countries. In order to better meet future legal requirements and also the marketspecific competitive situation, Schüco AWS 75.SI+ has not only been optimised and made more flexible in terms of energy-efficiency, but also offers fabrication benefits due to SimplySmart technology.

Along with new improvement of the Uf value from 0.1 W/(m²K) to 1.2 W/(m²K) with a face width of 117 mm, there is now an additional standard design available for lower Uf value requirements. Therefore, no change in basic depth is necessary.

Along with the flexibility of the thermal insulation in this series, the fabrication processes with regard to the centre gasket are further highlights.

The well-known fabrication options of vulcanised gasket frame or moulded corners supplied by the metre will soon be joined by a third option – the continuous centre gasket. In addition, the fabrication of the glazing rebate insulation will be simplified due to the incorporation of shaped corner pieces. These reduce the cutting work required and simultaneously define the correct position for the glass bridges. Together with the new mechanical Schüco AvanTec SimplySmart fittings range, a considerable amount of time can be saved on installation.

The Schüco AWS window systems from a basic depth of 70mm combine good thermal insulation with the unique advantages of aluminium: durability and stability, narrow face widths and a variety of designs. In addition to the outward-opening solutions or solutions for easy-access window doors from the Schüco AWS 70.HI standard window series, there is a comprehensive range of solutions available with this basic depth, even for special design requirements. Whether with the SoftLine (SL) vent contour for softer lines, the bevelled outer contours of the Schüco AWS 70 RL.HI window system or the narrow “Steel Contour” of the Schüco AWS 70 ST.HI window system, visual accents can be set.
