The Schüco Façade FW 50+ allow façades and skylights of very varied design to be constructed efficiently and reliably. Their compatibility with many other Schüco systems make Schüco FW 50+ two of the best-selling façade systems in Europe.

The tried and tested thermally insulated mullion / transom façade systems Schüco FW 50+
can be used to create impressive vertical façades and skylights – particularly with large module widths and installation heights, and facetted inwards or outwards.

Roof types: from monopitch roofs through to arched heads with wide spans for large projects, e.g. shopping centres or administration buildings.

The .SI (Super Insulation) system option not only fulfils current energy-saving standards, such as the EnEV, but with Uf values of up to 0.7 W/m2K, already exceeds some of these requirements today. In this way, aluminium curtain walling suitable for passive housing is now an option.

The Schüco systems FW 50+ CW for ventilated / non-ventilated façades can accommodate all smooth-faced panels and are supplied with all the necessary wall attachment
fittings and substructure fittings. Another advantage is the significant reduction in construction time as façade fabrication and interior building work can be done in parallel.

FW 50+ SG

The Schüco FW 50+.SI mullion transom façade achieves the current climate targets – passive house-certifie

Today the Schüco Façade FW 50+.SI sets the thermal insulation standard for mullion transom façades. Even when using materials offering maximum thermal insulation, there is unrestricted design freedom as well as simple and efficient fabrication.

AOC 75

Schüco Façade AOC 75.SI – add-on construction for wide substructures

The new Schüco Façade AOC 75 system variation allows for an add-on construction to be used on steel or timber, even on substructures larger than 60 mm. The new range of gaskets allow for large ventilation cross sections in particular in the roof area. The isolator system uses an additional butyl seal here to ensure a particularly high degree of safety. Vertically, Schüco Façade AOC 75 can be used flexibly with the isolator system familiar from Schüco AOC 50 and Schüco AOC 60 to .HI and .SI standard.

Maximum flexibility

The system-optimised Schüco Façade FWS 50 / FWS 60 offers a high degree of flexibility and attractive design options for façades and skylight areas – including optimised fabrication and installation processes. A further benefit is that the façade guarantees the best thermal insulation values as a passive house-certified SI system.

Feature spandrel safety barriers

The new, transparent system solution integrated in the profile for spandrel safety barriers blends in seamlessly and elegantly into the external façade appearance. The required safety barrier loading for floor-to-ceiling opening units and low spandrel heights can be implemented with consistent profile face widths and an unbroken profile.

Additional system modules also facilitate the simple and secure integration of electrical components.

Award-winning system sustainability

With the expansion of the façade range to include the Schüco FWS 50.SI system, Schüco is once again meeting its ecological requirement for sustainable products. The system has been awarded the Silver “Cradle-to-Cradle Certified™” sustainability label by the independent C2CPII institute in cooperation with EPEA in Hamburg for its recycling properties and minimum toxin content.

AOC SG 50, AOC SG 60

Add-on construction as a structural glazing façade with maximum transparency on steel and timber

Attractive structural glazing is also possible on steel and timber substructures with the new Schüco Façade AOC 50 SG / AOC 60 SG system construction. The SI variation used with triple glazing makes possible Uf values and Ucw values to passive house standard that were previously inconceivable in structural glazing. Thanks to comprehensive system testing (approval pending), architectural façades with maximum transparency and maximum thermal insulation can be fabricated easily and reliably.

Vectilated facade BIPV

The Schüco ventilated façades in the SCC series with the Schüco Façade Modules – high-yield and efficient system solutions for newbuilds and energy-efficient building renovation

The Schüco ventilated façades in the SCC series are tailored complete systems for newbuilds and renovation projects – in particular, for large opaque areas. It transforms façades into solar power plants with minimal use of time and materials. The optimum interface connection between the façade system and building integrated PV modules allows for maximum cost and design reliability, and significantly accelerates the design, fabrication and installation processes. Compared with conventional ventilated façade solutions, the SCC ventilated façades not only lend the building an attractive external appearance, they also increase the value of newbuilds and renovation projects. In conjunction with insulation materials, passive house standard values can be achieved.

Combined expertise in metal fabrication and solar products
All the components, consisting of the façade construction, solar infill units and all the accessories, such as inverters, cables, etc., come from´a single source. Schüco combines expertise in metal fabrication and solar products and can look back on 60 years of technological leadership.

The Schüco façade and window module is available both with amorphous thin-film technology and with crystalline cell technology. They are available as ventilated and non-ventilated constructions in various sizes, formats and designs. From various ventilated constructions to versions with tripleglazed insulating, sound reduction or security glass.

Their multi-purpose product properties mean that they can be used in both ventilated and non-ventilated façades, windows and doors, and also for skylights and for solar shading applications.

Schüco façade and window modules can be manufactured in all size categories between approx. 200 mm x 300 mm and 2,400 mm x 5,100 mm. In this way, architecturally highly sophisticated building ideas can be created.

Solar cells are monocrystalline, polycrystalline or amorphous depending on the structure of the crystal. Whereas polycrystalline cells can be used as a design feature due to their dynamic iridescence, the surface of monocrystalline cells is more uniform and therefore more of a single aestheticentity. Amorphous cells do not have any visible crystalline structure. A wafer-thin layer of silicon is applied directly onto a carrier glass by vapour deposition and therefore creates a highly uniform surface. The efficiency of monocrystalline cells are between 15 % and 21 %, in polycrystalline cells it is between 13 % and 18 %, and amorphous cells between 6 % and 9 %.

Due to the option of having different degrees of transparency, both types of cell technology (with amorphous cell technology from opaque to 20 %, with crystalline cell technology – variable) provide a creative design space.
